[[[The next morning, Emmeline wakes up as Richard is about to leave. He grabs his spear and a piece of fruit and walks out the door, then jogs down the beach.]]]

EMMELINE: Where are you going? Wait, what’s the matter?

[[[Awhile later, Richard is sitting out at the end of the unsubmerged portion of the reef, naked. He is moving his left hand back and forth. We can’t see what he’s holding. He rolls his shoulders. It is obvious what he is doing, but Emmeline looks confused as she approaches.]]]

EMMELINE: What are you doing?

[[[Richard is startled. He turns around to make sure she’s not too close.]]]

RICHARD: What do you want!?

EMMELINE: Why wont you talk to me?

RICHARD: Just leave me alone!
